Almost one year later, the cheeky fivesome have landed the biggest selling pre-release track on iTunes, clocked up the biggest first week sales of the year with their debut single What Makes You Beautiful and landed themselves that all important number one single.
The band have been subject to the dizzy heights of fandom with people saying that there has not been this much hysteria over a group since the early days of Take That.
Record boss Simon Cowell said of the band, “They’re going to ignite big time. You’re going to see an explosion the likes of which we haven’t seen since Take That – and that’s exciting. There is just a buzz in the air. I can feel it at the moment.”
